Our T Level students have embarked on an exciting 2-week onsite placement with two of our new industry partners. Bowmer and Kirkland are one of the UK's Top 10 construction companies and won the Gatsby T Level Employer of the Year Award in 2025. Our Accounting, Digital and Lab Science students have been learning about the diverse roles that exist within a construction company and are working collaboratively with B&K's help to work on a tender bid using the real skills and expertise used in industry. They will present their bid to a panel of experts on the final day.
KBM are Chartered Certified Accountants & Registered Auditors who operate in the UK and internationally. Members of the firm have been working with a small group of accounting students, preparing them for the role of an assistant accountant by introducing them to a range of different accounting software used in industry such as Sage and QuickBooks.
Our students have engaged well with both placements and are hoping to be among the few who are selected for further weeks as part of a potential placement in the Autumn term.
